Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Occupemo (the “Service”), operated by Occupemo (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Occupemo app or website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Occupemo. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@occupemo.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Occupemo Plus is an optional paid tier available through the iOS App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple’s payment terms and the following:

  • Free trial: Monthly and Yearly subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. You will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it expires.
  • Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date via your Apple ID settings (Settings → [Apple ID] → Subscriptions).
  • Lifetime: A one-time, non-refundable purchase that grants access to Plus features with no recurring charges.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes before they take effect. Continued use of the subscription constitutes acceptance.
  • Refunds: Refunds are governed by Apple’s refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt any part of the Service infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription checks or Plus gating mechanisms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the iOS app, website, design system, scheduling algorithm, and all related content, is owned by Occupemo and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of the data you input into Occupemo (your tasks, schedules, and notes). You grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Occupemo is a scheduling tool. We make no guarantee that use of the app will improve your academic performance, productivity, or any other outcome.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Occupemo and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (Governing Law) survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
